Sunset On Hopewell

40.00

Hopewell School is a historic, three- sectioned, two-story structure on the northwest corner of Fifth and Hodgson streets in 0xford Borough, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in three stages, the first in 1905, the second in 1914 and the third in 1925.

Significantly, Hopewell has become the only remaining school designed by William L. Plack, a noted turn-of-the century architect.

From an artistic view, the old building's humanistic charm seems to emanate in the warm reflection of thousands of bricks that housed and protected an equal number of young minds. In the winter of its existence, Hopewell School provides each of us with reminders of our own bygone school days.
