In this artwork, the little stone house in which inventor Robert Fulton was born is depicted much as it appeared in 1765. It is restored and furnished to the period of Fulton's life, with exhibits reflecting his artistic and mechanical genius.
In addition, the site represents a tribute to the designer of the first commercially successful American steamboat. This historical landmark is located just off route 222, 6 miles south of Quarryville, Pennsylvania.
