Spring Thaw

Located on Mill Road outside of historic Kennett Square in southern Chester County, an old barn topped with a large cupola basks in the melting snow of an early Spring Day. It is typical of similar structures built in the region during the last century.

An interesting aspect of this particular barn is the square hole next to the hay door (left of center). It is the entranceway for a family of Barn Owls inhabiting the building.
