London Grove Meeting House

The artwork is a rendering of the historic Quaker Meeting House at London Grove, in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. The Quakers settled the village in 1714, building the structure at a later date.

Many focal points surround the old stone meeting house. The interior reflects the Quaker sense of simplicity with plain wooden pews, tall unadorned oak panels, and colonial-style furniture. Outside is an enormous tree with a 17 foot girth, known as the "Penn Oak’, which began to sprout in the early 17th century. Next to the tree is the ancestral cemetery, where generations of Quakers rest, including Caleb Pusey, the founder of the London Grove congregation.
